Podcasts for April 7

Here are this weeks editions of the podcasts I try to listen to each week.

Philosophy in Action – Dr. Diana Hsieh and Greg Perkins take on questions on Objectivism as a closed system, buying books containing military secrets, and giving back an engagement ring.

Peikoff.com Episode 316 – Dr Leonard Peikoff answers questions about the morality of buying sex, the value of animals (pets) to human beings, and telling polite lies. (Sometimes it is a little difficult in getting a short summary phrase for the questions that Dr. Peikoff answers.)

I am continuing to work on the classes I mentioned last week, primarily on Principles of Grammar by Dr. Leonard Peikoff. I am about half way through the series of lectures with the last lecture I listened to covering verb tenses which is very interesting. Lots of information I either had never learned or forgot. In the first part of this series where an out-of-print grammar textbook was mentioned, Writing and Thinking: A Handbook of Composition and Revision. When I first listened to the lecture, the book was not available but this time around I found it listed on Amazon. A little pricey maybe, but definitely worth it.
