Podcasts for December 29

It has been quite some time since I have had the time listen to and blog about the podcasts I find interesting and useful, but I am getting things back in focus these days, so now is a good time to start up again.

Philosophy in Action – In this week’s podcast Dr. Diana Hsieh and Greg Perkins discuss in depth, about 30 minutes per topic, the difference between extremism and consistency and overcoming lethargy. Both discussions were useful for me. While I have not, yet, been called extremist it is good to have the issues raised in mind to be able to handle it when it comes up. I definitely have the lethargy issues that were discussed in the second question. There was lots of good information for dealing with them.

Peikoff.com Episode 353 – In this week’s edition, Dr. Leonard Peikoff answers questions on dealing with fear of making the wrong choice in romantic relationships and becoming trapped, the relationship between the three modes of integration discussed in the DIM Hypothesis and the idea of history being a duel between the other worldliness of Plato and this worldliness of Aristotle discussed in OPAR, would rational people who love each other ever separate or divorce, and more.
